ÿþ--- title: "Do I Give God My Leftovers?" date: 2023-05-18T07:18:22-05:00 draft: false summary: Jesus being Lord of my life requires me giving him more than my leftovers. --- > What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? Matthew 16:26 Can Jesus be Lord of your life if he gets your leftovers? If he's always at the end of your priorities? If you are always choosing to do other things? Lately, I've been feeling that Jesus gets my leftovers. I pay him lip service by reading my bible, going to church, maybe praying a couple times a week, but in reality I'm chasing other things. I'm hoping to do fun things. I'm hoping my business takes off. My word really revolves around me. That isn't God honoring. We were created to offer more than our leftovers. But that requires an intentionality. Waking up each day asking "how can I glorify God today?" By my schedule reflecting that. Life attempts to distract us from that reality. We have to fight prioritize God. Keep up the good fight.
